Medical Grade Facials

Medical Grade Facials

Medical grade facials are advanced skincare treatments designed to rejuvenate and improve the health of your skin. Unlike traditional facials, these treatments are customized to address specific skin concerns using professional-grade products and techniques. These facials can only be conducted by a medical professional. Medical grade facials can help with a range of issues, including acne, fine lines, uneven skin tone, and dullness. These facials typically involve a combination of deep cleansing, exfoliation, targeted serums, and sometimes include medical technologies like chemical peels. By penetrating deeper into the skin, they promote cellular renewal, improve texture, and enhance hydration—leaving your skin glowing and refreshed. Whether you’re looking to treat a specific condition or maintain healthy, radiant skin, medical grade facials are an excellent choice for achieving noticeable, long-lasting results.

Frequently asked questions about AlumierMD Facials

How do AlumierMD facials vary from other facials?

AlumierMD peels are never one-size-fits-all. Each treatment is tailored to the individual’s skin condition, tone, and goals—whether it’s acne, hyperpigmentation, fine lines, or dullness. Professionals can layer or combine different peel solutions to create a bespoke experience.

How does AlumierMD peels vary from the old school typical chemical peels?

Instead of relying on one aggressive acid, AlumierMD uses synergistic blends of:

  • Lactic acid (hydrating and exfoliating)

  • Salicylic acid (pore-clearing and anti-inflammatory)

  • Mandelic acid (great for sensitive and darker skin tones)

  • Retinol and peptides (to enhance cell turnover and collagen)

These combinations allow for gradual exfoliation with minimal downtime, without sacrificing effectiveness.

Is this peel safe for my skin?

Thanks to controlled formulations and deep understanding of skin biology, AlumierMD peels are safe for all skin tones, including Fitzpatrick types IV–VI. This is a major advancement, as older peels often caused pigmentation issues in darker skin.

Will I peel or be red?

Most AlumierMD clients experience little to no flaking or redness—just a smoother, more radiant complexion. The brand’s “Glow Peel,” for example, offers visible results in clarity and tone without the extended peeling phase that traditional peels required. Some clients may experience some minimal peeling similar to peeling after a tan. In some cases, exfoliation may occur only on a cellular level and not visible to the naked eye. Every clients exfoliation experience varies and depends on the peel strength and individual skin profile. These peels are light-to-medium depth and are formulated to reduce redness and irritation

What should I expect right after my peel?

The skin immediately after may be red and irritated. The skin will be more sun-sensitive as the epidermis renews itself. After the peeling process, which usually takes 3-5 days after treatment is completed, fresh new skin is evident. This is crucial for proper at home skincare which in term will be more effective if used properly.

What if I don't peel? Does this mean my treatment was not effective?

Peeling varies for everyone. Some individuals may visibly peel in one area or more while others do not peel at all.  Peeling can occur on a level that is not effident to the naked eye and does not show flaking. This does not mean the procedure was ineffective but rather the body is working on a cellular level.

Will a chemical peel burn my skin?

Chemical peels have come a long way. A chemical peel is a professional skincare treatment designed to enhance the skin’s texture and tone. It involves applying an acid-based solution that lowers the skin’s pH, breaking down the bonds between dead skin cells. This encourages exfoliation and stimulates the production of new skin cells. As the outer layers of dull or damaged skin shed, a fresher, smoother, and more radiant complexion is revealed.

How many treatments do I need?

Achieving beautiful, healthy skin is a gradual process, and results from treatments take time to fully develop. While a single chemical peel can instantly enhance radiance and brightness, addressing deeper concerns like uneven texture, fine lines, and active acne typically requires a series of treatments. Consistent use of recommended home care products is essential and plays a vital role in maximizing and maintaining your results.
